Mme Isbecque holds a BA (Hons) in Geography and French from the University of Lancaster, and a PGCE with a specialism in Modern Foreign Languages with QTS. She has completed the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL) and is currently studying the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH), which is due to be completed in September 2025.
Prior to working at La Fontaine Academy, Mme Isbecque taught in Bethnal Green, before moving to work in Blackheath and Bromley. She has taught across Key Stage One and Two and worked in a number of roles including: French Lead, English Lead and Early Career Mentor. As part of her leadership duties, she has taken responsibility for curriculum development and delivery – ensuring that La Fontaine’s curriculum continues to be up-to-date and consistently provides an excellent education for students, whilst reflecting the changes in our society.
Outside of school, Mme Isbecque has recently become a mum and has a keen interest in reading, both for the purpose of deepening her knowledge around educational developments, and for pleasure. She is particularly driven to ensure that all children have access to an excellent education which gives them the opportunity to become successful, confident and happy, life-long learners who have a positive impact on their communities.
