Since its inception, La Fontaine Academy has been committed to ensuring that our children have an exceptional education and that each child, irrespective of their starting point, is able to progress and achieve success. We want our children to build memories, thrive in life, and change the world; these goals are embodied in our school motto ‘Always aiming higher, together.’
To ensure success, our staff team work collaboratively to design, develop and deliver an ambitious curriculum. Each subject has been designed with a clear purpose and pedagogical approach, and has a carefully planned progression from Reception through to Year 6. We have high expectations of our children, and encourage them to work hard and to celebrate their achievements. The La Fontaine team have been instrumental in the work across the STEP Academy Trust to ensure excellence in curriculum and pedagogy in all academies, and they work with colleagues in other STEP schools to support their development.
