Music

Ensuring children have a meaningful and inclusive music education is a priority here at La Fontaine. We provide our children with the opportunity to appraise, perform and compose a range of diverse music, covering anything from the Medieval Period, right through to the music of modern day.

Our children learn to analyse rhythm, beat, pitch and structure to deepen their understanding of how music is made. These skills are then transferred into their own performances and compositions.

We believe every child has the right to develop the skills to read music, enabling them to learn and play a variety of instruments. Through our ambitious curriculum, we develop self-confidence, team work and a passion for music.
