This week at La Fontaine, we launched a Helping Hands Project. The purpose of this project is to create a series of posters that raise awareness among the children, that all members of staff can be approachable for children, to ask for help if needed. We are trying to convey the message that the first port of contact need not necessarily be the class teacher but any available member of staff. This will help to establish a culture of trusted adults amongst our children. During the assembly and PSHE lesson, we discussed who the trusted adults are and what their role is. In each year group, children designed Helping Hands posters and named their trusted adults. These are going to be displayed later across the whole school to remind children of all of the support they have from our school community.
