Since September, we have been hosting a range of virtual ‘Share in Learning’ sessions. In more usual times, we would invite parents and carers into school to learn about an area of our curriculum and our subject leaders would talk you through our curriculum and how we deliver it; you would then have the opportunity to visit your child’s class and see the learning in action.
However, for obvious reasons (!), we’re not able to do this at the moment. So instead, we have been embracing modern technology and have been hosting some virtual meetings – via Zoom – so that our subject and phase leaders can talk to parents and carers through the innovations in our curriculum. A lot has changed here at La Fontaine over the year, so we want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to hear about all of the exciting curriculum updates and ask any questions they may have.
As we know that everyone is busy, and may not be able to join us at a certain time, all of the meeting materials – along with a recording of the meeting – are available through our website. If you visit our curriculum page (link below) and then click on ‘School Community Information meetings’ you will be taken to a OneDrive page where you can access everything you need.

So far, we have held information sessions about:
* French
* PSHE
* Science
* Our approach to EYFS (Reception)
* Reading for pleasure
* The science behind our curriculum
We have also held information sessions for each of the phases (EYFS, KS1, LKS2 & UKS2) and these materials and recorded meetings are also available in the OneDrive folder.
There are lots more sessions to come in 2021… hopefully at some point we’ll even be able to invite you into school for the meeting!
